-Spent a day acting for the Jewish Plays Project playwriting contest in New Haven, CT. With AD David Witnisky and a great cast of actors including David Deblinger, Mara Kassin, Grant Harrison, Dori Legg, Andrea Syglowski. Also joined another team of actors for a new round of the competition this past Saturday in New Jersey.
-Had a blast doing a table read for terraNOVA Collective's Groundbreakers. It was a new play called "Versions of an All American" by Steve DiUbaldo, and I played the play's protagonist, Montgomery Walter. My fine fellow actors were Diana Oh, Duane Cooper, Eric Miller, Susan Louise O'Connor, Chris Grant, Will Manning, and Jenny Seastone Stern who all dexterously played five or six characters each brilliantly. We all had each other cracking up. Nothing better than that.
-Did a roundtable reading of a new piece by Caridad Svich at The Lark. It's my second time to the Lark, and my first working on a great piece by Caridad. Rockin.
-My shoot dates for my episode of "Bad Habits," mentioned in a post below, are being set for this month. Find out about Shal in one of my recent posts below. Very excited to work with him and his team again, it's a great little story and character.
-And last and never at all least, I'm back at the 52nd ST Project this month directing two kids in a hella charming short play by John Patrick Shanley involving a man confessing his love for a mermaid to his best friend. Cute as hell. Love that place.
